How do you create your montages? That question is asked a lot. I taught myself how to make them using Paint Shop Pro. I have version 5 and 7 but version 10 is now available. I also use Adobe Photoshop 5.0. The basic process is to copy and paste smaller images into a larger canvas. The bottom line is ... practice! What's the first episode you saw? The Black Wolf, so that means that I've been a Xenite since January 13, 1996 What's your favorite episode? One Against an Army ... and I think Destiny runs a close second Do you have a least favorite episode? I never thought I'd have one. I didn't until the fifth season... it's Married with Fishsticks. I wasn't too crazy about Send in the Clones either. Do you believe in subtext? First of all, that's a pet peeve of mine. It's 'sapphic' subtext, not just subtext. There are many different types of subtext found in literature and film. And, to answer the question: I believe in many different interpretations of the show. Could you make a montage for me? Do you take requests? I don't really take requests ... unless it happens to correspond with something I was planning on making anyways. I have a hard time making a wallpaper that's not my own idea ... I guess if my heart's not in it ... it's not going to happen. Why don't you post screen captures, .wavs, an episode guide, etc.? Well, all of those take time to create, upload and maintain. I'd rather spend my time putting together montages. And, I think that other sites do a much better job that I ever could in providing those items. Could you send me copies of Xena? Sorry, I don't do that. Where do you get your screen captures? The first season was really hard to find. Not too many people had quality screen captures back then. I got some of them from Logomancy. The rest of them? I can't remember. During the second and third season I got my screen captures from the now defunct KNery's Xena Web Site. The fourth and fifth season I got from my friend Dreamer. And the sixth season I captured them myself. These days I rely on Mike's Xena Wallpapers for great screen captures. Do you take art submissions and post them on your site? Sorry ... I don't do that. Do you have a favorite Xena site (other than your own)? I definitely miss Dreamer's Montages. I was sad to see her shut down her site. Currently I'm in love with Calli's Creations. You gotta love those graphics! Do you have any involvement with the show? I have absolutely no involvement with Renaissance Pictures or USA Studios. This is a fan website that I maintain for no monetary profit. It's just for fun. What will you do now that Xena is over? This site will stay online even though the series is over. As long as it's still fun for me I'll continue to create montages. It's too bad the powers that be decided to end "Xena" the way they did. Thank goodness for fan fiction!
